A villa reimagined
Imagined as a family villa from another century, Maison Aura has been restored with patience rather than haste. Weathered ochre plaster was kept where it told a story; green shutters were rehung by hand; the roses were allowed to keep climbing.
Rooms that remember
Marble stairs, terracotta floors and frescoed ceilings sit alongside quiet contemporary comforts. Each piece of furniture is chosen as though for a private home — antique where it matters, simple where it should be.
Where the garden meets the water
Gravel paths lead through clipped box, cypress and wisteria to a stone jetty on the lake. Mornings belong to the garden; evenings, inevitably, to the water's edge.
